Dermal Fillers

Smooth Away Facial Lines and Wrinkles with Dermal Fillers

Facial lines and wrinkles result from wear and tear of the natural collagen support layer that supports your skin. Facial lines and wrinkles form due to a combination of multiple factors. The lines that form on your face over  time are a combination of skin aging, collagen depletion, and muscle movement. Wrinkles that are a result of a loss of collagen and sagging of the skin are ideal candidates for treatment with dermal fillers.

We offer dermal fillers solutions that rebuild your skin’s natural support layer. We employs several soft tissue fillers including Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Bellafill and Belotero. Each of these injectable materials smoothes facial folds, fine lines and wrinkles.

Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Bellafill and Belotero

We carry several soft tissue dermal fillers including Juvederm, Restylane, Bellafill, Radiesse and Belotero to enable us to treat a wide range of  areas and better fit the client’s desired goals. Each of these injectable materials smooths facial folds and expression lines and wrinkles. Lip fillers can enhance the appearance of the lip border as well as create fuller lips. A visible improvement in facial wrinkles or a more defined lip border can be seen in just a single session. As an experienced practitioner in aesthetic medicine, we can help you decide among these and other exciting non-surgical solutions to soften your facial lines.

We use Injectable Dermal Fillers to improve the following:

  • Fine lines around the lips, mouth, nose and forehead
  • Smoothing wrinkles, lines and folds
  • Shaping facial contours such as the cheeks and jawline
  • Restoring volume and fullness to the skin
  • Sculpting thin lips and adding fullness
  • Redefining lip border
  • Filling in lip lines (also known as ‘smoker’s lines)
  • Correct the hollows around the eyes
  • Softening acne scars
  • Improve facial depressions

While there are many injectable fillers on the market today, we use only FDA-approved products that have demonstrated predictable results, as well as minimal bruising, swelling and redness after treatment.

Composed of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is a natural substance found throughout the body. Restylane is used to treat the finer lines and wrinkles, and is often selected for lips, lip lines, and first-time or younger patients. Restylane may improve the moisture content of the skin as well.

Used on the more pronounced facial folds and wrinkles, such as those on the sides of the mouth. It is popular filler for deeper lines, facial depressions, and facial scarring. It can be used in both men and women. The major difference is that Restylane Left is a larger molecule than Restylane, because it contains more hyaluronic acid molecules. This means that Restylane Lyft can easily fill in deep skin wrinkles, scars, and creases better than Restylane.

Used to soften the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles, add plumpness to the lips, and help you maintain a more youthful appearance overall. Juvéderm is manufactured using HYLACROSS™ technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. Juvederm can be used on smile lines (parenthesis), marionette lines (puppet lines), and vertical lip lines.

Lip fillers have unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), yet soft enough to treat more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line). Like other lip fillers, Belotero allows immediate and smooth correction.

Contains calcium-based microspheres that upon injection immediately provide the volume and lift needed to diminish signs of aging. This filler acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow. This process continues for several months, which extends the initial effect of the filler. Radiesse provides lasting correction for 18 months to three years, and works with your body to stimulate collagen production. Radiesse is often used to reshape the nose for a non-surgical nose job, or on the back of hands for an immediate ‘hand lift’.

A unique formulation of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) collagen microspheres that provide both instant and long-lasting improvement to the visible signs of aging. It is comprised of 20% PMMA microspheres and 80% collagen. This unique makeup is also the reason why it is the only dermal filler approved to treat acne scars. Once injected directly underneath the skin of the treatment areas, it is formulated to immediately smooth and tighten the skin during the very first treatment. Bellafill for acne scars can last up to one year and Bellafill for nasolabial folds can last up to five years.

When deciding between Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero, Radiesse and Bellafill, we recommend scheduling a consultation to see which is right for you. We carefully take into consideration the area that is treated, duration of results, the expected final result, and the overall desired final look. We understand the differences between these products and successfully match them to individual patients.

The composition of some of the various fillers are based on a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid in Injectable Dermal Fillers augments the body’s natural supply, which has become depleted with age. These products are not long-lasting and are broken down in the body. These fillers are also reversible in the event that the client does not like the results. Radiesse filler utilizes a calcium- based microsphere technology and stimulates the body to produce new collagen. Bellafill is comprised of 20% PMMA microspheres and 80% collagen and the only dermal filler approved to treat acne scars. Regardless of which filler is used, the basic mechanism is to add volume in or under the skin where the wrinkle or fold of concern is located.

Yes, we can combine your injectable treatment with other non-surgical treatments such as Botox.

The most common areas for dermal fillers are the folds between the nose and corner of the mouth (the nasolabial folds), deep lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), marionette lines, under the eyes, shaping and contouring of the cheeks, and lip augmentation, but many other areas are also candidates when additional volume will enhance a client’s appearance and meet their goals.

The results of the treatment is immediate and usually remain for six months up to a year or longer depending on the filler used. Areas around the lips and chin where there is repetitive movement may require more frequent touch-up, every four to six months, whereas other areas of the face may remain wrinkle free for longer.

The treatment is a procedure consisting of an injection of one or more syringes of the filler in the areas being treated. The average time for the treatment usually ranges from 30 to 45 minutes. Patients usually report only minimal or mild discomfort during treatment. A specially formulated numbing cream is used that alleviates most discomfort. Additionally, a number of our fillers contain lidocaine, a common aesthetic, to provide a more comfortable experience during and after treatment to enhance patient comfort.
